Madrid boasts numerous exceptional cocktail bars, but today I am pleased to introduce you to a new favorite that opened in November 2023. Fat Cats Madrid can be characterized as an artistic bar with the ambiance of a sophisticated speakeasy. Its design draws inspiration from the 70s burglars and the opulent mansions they targeted. From the exterior, one would hardly guess it's a bar, as it only reveals its logo and a stunning diamond necklace in the window display. (image taken from: TONI ALONSO Tapas Magazine)

Upon arrival, you will find yourself in a lavishly decorated bar featuring plush suede seats, walls adorned with mirrors, and playing 70's music. Fat Cats provides a relaxing atmosphere where you can unwind, engage in conversation with friends, and sample their range of classic cocktails. Their cocktail menu resembles a mysterious book, weaving a tale about two renowned American burglars known as the 'Fat Cats Burglars'. Within its pages, you will discover a selection of traditional cocktails like Mojitos, Old Fashioneds, Palomas, and Margaritas, each with a unique twist in nomenclature. Catering to all tastes, the menu details the alcohol content, serving size, and even offers non-alcoholic mocktail options.
Keep in mind that this bar has been operating for under a year, but it's definitely worth a visit. It's located in the Barrio De Las Letras close to Anton Martin metro station. You'll find it on a narrow street, just look for the window displaying a diamond necklace.
Don't miss out on visiting Fat Cats, as it offers a combination of magnificence, thrill, and meticulous attention to match the theme, such as the elegant necklace box holding the bill!
