This museum is definitely a hidden gem. You won't find a line of tourist outside awaiting entry. In fact, this museum is located in plain sight, right in front of the Puerta de Alcala. So how can you enter you might ask? Well to access this museum you must go online and make a reservation.

This exclusive experience requires careful planning to secure a suitable time and day, as new time slots are only released a week ahead. Keep in mind that the entrance is free.

After successfully booking your visit, you will receive a pre-registration form via email. Rest assured, it is neither lengthy nor tedious. It is crucial to emphasize the significance of being punctual. The guided tours have a restricted capacity and will start on time but they do allow a 15-minute grace period. The day of my visit, I found the building but the doors were closed. It was to my knowledge that I had to ring the buzzer and allowed entrance. Upon entering the space you are greeted by a large comic like painting and a peculiar structure with the shape of a person but face of a cleaning tool?!

Oh, I completely forgot to mention that you are not allowed to wander freely in this museum. You will be accompanied by a tour guide at all times who will provide you with the names and details of each art piece.

Now the art!

This collection is called: Handle With Care. The concept of this exhibition aims to establish a conversation between the artwork and those who inhabit them (Handle with Care, Press Release.) Unsurprisingly, the title directly alludes to the careful handling of the art to prevent any harm. Here, you will find a display of works by 50 artists incorporating various mediums including painting, performance, video art, sculptures, and more.

If you have read through my extensive blog, you should know the name of this museum: Espacio SOLO. It began seven years ago by two Spanish entrepreneurs Ana Gervás and David Cantolla. Thanks to its international atmosphere and exhibitions, Espacio SOLO stands out as a truly unique venue. The gallery has played a key role in nurturing creativity among emerging artists, particularly those pushing boundaries in the field of AI art.

I think what makes this museum feel so special is the way the guided tour allows visitors to learn more about each piece. It also gives awareness to the in depth conversations the artist was trying to convey upon their artwork. There is no doubt that this museum is a must see.

Surprisingly what I loved most about this museum was the guided tour. Given explanations and details about the artwork definitely illuminated the artists creative process. Whether you have a passion for art and performance or not, I believe Espacio SOLO is a must-visit. I strongly suggest giving this artistic marvel a chance as it is too captivating to miss.
