I think La Maruca is such a great spot to bring a date or have an elevated dinner with friends. This restaurant is very chic and has a lot of traditional Spanish cuisines; the best part is that many food selections offer a contemporary twist.

La Maruca has two locations, one is in the Barrio de Salamanca and Paseo de la Castellana. I recommend the second one because the closest metro stop is Plaza de Castilla- line 1 and you get a beautiful view of the iconic leaning Torre Realia. This location is also great because you are relatively far away from the district center but close enough to head back for drinks afterwards.

In regards to their vast menu options I recommend these must haves.

For starters:

-Buñuelos de Bacalao

-Canelones Relllenos de Poularda con salsa Foe

Meat Dish:

- Cordero Al Horno Deshuesado

Dessert:

- Tarte de Queso de Cañadío (1981)

Probably the best way to go about this situation is to order several plate and share. This allows everyone to taste different dishes, and if you'd like you can always add another main dish or dessert to the order. In relation to price, I think this place has a great price value for the food and ambience. La Maruca is definitely a must try restaurant if you want to treat yourself out to good food and great company.
